International Nurses and Midwives Day 2022

The International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) celebrates this year’s International Day of the Midwife (IDM) on 5th May 2022 under the theme, 100 Years of Progress. ICM looks forward to coming together as a global midwife community to advocate for investment in quality midwifery care around the world, improving sexual, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health in the process.

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth. ICN commemorates this important day each year with the production and distribution of the International Nurses’ Day (IND) resources and evidence. The theme for the 2022 resource is Nurses: A Voice to Lead — Invest in Nursing and respect rights to secure global health.
